Today is March 14 3/14 specifically Pi Day

Let us learn some interesting facts about Pi, the infinitely long never ending number.

  1. Pi is the ratio of Circumference of any circle to its diameter. So for every circle its Boundary is Pi times longer than its diameter.

  2. The value of  is 3.14159265358979323846…. and it never stops and never repeats. In other words it is non terminating non recurring.

  3. The value of 22/7 comes out very close to this value , so it is often used instead of Pi.

  4. The symbol was introduced by William Jones, a Welsh mathematician, in 1706, which has been in use for over 250 years.

  8. Albert Einstein was born on 14th March 1879.

  9. We can never truly calculate the circumference of a circle as we don’t have exact value of Pi.

  10. The actual celebration of Pi Day starts at 1:59 to represent 3.14159
